Mech vs Kaiju

Render and Compositor, Shader Artist

Final Video

Description of the Project

Mech vs Kaiju is a real-time cinematic built around a large-scale confrontation between a mechanical fighter and a sea creature. The scene was rendered in Unreal Engine and combined real-time materials, lighting, atmospheric effects, and compositing.

Role in the Project

Render and Compositor, Shader Artist

I rendered and composited shots for the final sequence and created Unreal Engine shaders and materials, including water and wet-surface studies. I also developed an Unreal-to-Houdini lighting workflow that transfers light position, color, and intensity through JSON, and explored volumetric-cloud color for the final environment.

Application/Software Used: Unreal Engine, Houdini, Python, Adobe compositing tools
